We annually support a group of Children’s Campus staff through the Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA) program, managed by the Workforce Development Lead.
We fund the certification and provide mentoring for MCC staff alongside study assistance and exam preparation. If you are interested in completing the CHIA program in 2025, you can read more via the link below.
Our fellows for 2024 are Tram Nguyen and Tim Fondum. Tram comes to us as a Consultant from Adolescent Medicine and Tim is a Registrar in ED. Both have excitedly been appointed as the 2024 Learning Healthcare System Academy Fellow for the Melbourne Children’s Campus.
We are pleased to be working with the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Digital Transformation of Health to deliver this unique fellowship program.

Learn new skillsThe Applied Learning Healthcare System course is made up of a series of modules that build on each other to provide an overview of all the steps required in an effective learning health system cycle. In-class learning will involve hands on, guided workshops by instructors and group work using a variety of tools and software to interrogate the data and develop digital health solutions.
