This video series is designed for healthcare professionals, researchers, and students, who are interested in learning about the secondary use of EMR data. The sessions provide valuable insights into best practices and real-world applications of EMR data.
In 2022-2023, the Centre for Health Analytics ran a series of workshops on the Secondary Use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Data. These workshops explored key considerations, opportunities, and challenges in leveraging EMR data for research, internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and other secondary purposes.
This video series is an adaptation of those workshops. The content of these videos is current as of February 2025.
Although the original workshops were designed for the RCH instance of Epic EMR, many of the concepts explored are applicable across any hospital EMR.
